Thanks man, she is a 08 Gibson Les Paul Traditional. One of the pre-release examples Gibson sent out to selected shops. I got lucky, or not depending on how you look at it. Went into Bizarre Guitar in Phoenix to get some strings and they were unpacking this baby. I asked Bob (the owner) why he had it before official release. He told me he got 3 of them for a marketing demo when they are released. This thing played like a dream, and what a finish. And now the unlucky side, by contract with Gibson, he could not sell it to me before the "Official" release date. ****-it Jim, I can't stand it. This thing was perfect, finish, tone, workmanship were all impeccable. Some pretty big players get their guitars from Bob, but Bob would not sell this baby to anyone else. So I got her the first day they were released. Oh and the strings, they were about the most expensive strings I ever bought, but at least they threw in a free guitar.
