I have a Marshall AVT50H head that I want to run into a 4X12 slant cabinet. The head says 4ohm minimum & the speakers are 16ohm each, 2 Vin30s & 2 G12T75s. So should I wire the cab/speakers in series or parallel ? I dont want to hurt the head or the speakers. Any help would be great. Thanks...

Kramer Barretta, Laney 120 SS head, 4X12 slant cab with 2 Eminence GB12's & 2 125 Legends. I play 80s & 90s metal, the Custom, DD, and JB have allready ben used and DiMarzio SD, EVO, FRED, Norton, etc. Im looking for something different in my quest for tone, i guess its just old age or something.

I took Lew's advice and put 2 Eminence Goverenors and 2 Wizards in my slant cab. WOW what a difference. I took a solid state Crate head and 4X12 cab that sounded good and turned it into a metal monster. If theres ever any dought, LEW's the man when it comes to knowing his stuff.

WHY ? How come Di Marzio pups have a more even EQ thn the SD's ? The SD's have alot more highs and the DM's have alot more bass and mids ? I thought about a DD, Custom or a JB for metal.
