I just put a Custom Custom in the rear of my 01 Les Paul Standard and a Custom in the neck and it absolutely ROCKS!
I cannot say enough GOOD things about Duncan pickups.....
Guess thats why I own so many!
I have a solid ash 70's reissue Fender strat.... I loaded it with a Duncan hot rails in the rear and loved it until I put a Custom 5 in my Les Paul and a custom in my Charvel. Now with everything tweaked to those 2 guitars the hot rails is to dark and over powering.

The custom 5 gives me good rich lows that dont get boomy and crisp highs without ANY shrill whatsoever. And a fantastic balance of mids that tie the lows to the highs like...
