Which of these deals would you choose?

I'm thinking about selling my JCM800 (2210) and the cab 4x12. I recently bougth a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier. So far I've received these offers: 1. Exchange for a Rivera m100 http://www.finn.no/finn/bap/object?finnkode=10455106&sid=xz2aPcFbGD0355101&WT.svl=Link I think this guy only means that...

Dimebucker on my PRS CU 22?

I have a Gibson LP Studio with a Dimebucker in the bridge. I'm thinking about putting the Dimebucker in my PRS CU 22 Artist and a Burstbucker in the Gibson. Going to work good or?

Suggestions on pickups for my PRS CU?

I'm going to the US this summer and because of the ridciously low prices on gear you guys have I want to make sure I utilize that. I want to change the bridge pickup in my PRS Cu 22 artist and maybe also switch the neck pickup. Problem: It sounds a bit nasal and thin. I want a pickup that: -...

What did I do wrong when I tried to connect to my POD xt and strobostomp??

This is what I did: guitar -> peterson strobostom in - strobostomp out -> pod xt input - pod xt output -> Input on amp. I only got a lot of noise/feedback and 0 sound. Then I removed the Strobostomp and did this: guitar > pod xt input - pod xt output -> Input on amp. Problem solved. Somebody...

    Just a few Strobostomp questions...

    1. Any special tricks when using this unit? I've just got mine. Should I use an open string or the overtone in the 12th freth? As a matter of fact there's a small difference between those two. Shouldn't those be exactly the same? Maybe there will be a difference if you don't hit the string...

    Question to Peterson Strobostomp users

Hi! I read a review on this item at harmonycentral and a guy there had problems with the strobostomp (If you don't want to read all he wrote just go to the buttom and I try to explain there): "I picked one up at the Guitar Center. It Died on my second gig with it..no sound going into pedal...

Should I stock my new PRS with Dragons or Wolfetones?

I believe the Wolfetones Marshallhead are superior to the Dragons. But the Marshallheads are unpotted, thus they will scueal on high gain settings. I play in a metal band now and I need the ability to get a good and fat distortion from the bridge pickup. I'm not a gain fanatic, don't get me...

Any picks similar to Jim Dunlop Jazz 3, but also with a decent grip?

I like the Jim Dunlop Jazz 3. I like tha shape, the rounded and pinched tip and that they're small. But I just can't stand the grip!!! They're made of delrin and it's basicly impossible for me to play with them, they slip out of my hand after just 30 sek of playing. Only one other pick have I...

Question about the necks on PRS guitars - (PRS good for shredding?)

When I tried a PRS Custom 24 it was a bit hard to play (not that easy playable, like an ibanez for instance), but I guess much had to do with the action being set to high. I have a Gibson and I like wide necks, but the PRS neck seems to be very wide. (I mean the fretboard and the gap between...

Every PRS guitarist change the pickups in their guitar. A myth or...?

It seems to me that every PRS guitarist change the Dragons 2 to some kind of Seymour Duncan. Why is that so?

What is smart to check when you buy a new guitar?

Only things I know: 1. Look at the neck and the material. 2. Check the tuning and it it has a floyd rose, etc... give it a hard time and then check the tuning again. 3. Play it acousticly. The difficult part: 1. Hard to check tuning when many of the guitars have old strings not wired correctly...

Help! Are these PRS guitars a good purchase?

FIRST OF ALL: Note that i live in Norway. Guitar prices here are twice the one's in USA. Just as you know. I have the opportunity to buy a PRS Custom 24 for 2575$ (new in Norway: 4242$) http://prsguitars.com/showcase/current/custom.html . I can choose between black and silver. They also have a...

    Two questions about D-Standard tuning!

    1. How does it work to use 0.10 gauges? Just try yourself you might think, but I've just set on new 0.11 strings. And strings here in Norway are really expensive. I find the 0.11 just a bit to tight. Actually more tight than 010 in E Standard. It' s more heavy to tremolo pick also when the...
