Hi there, using a tb-6 in my slim mahogany s series tuned to c#. Absolutely love it. Just got myself an ibanez rgd 320 basswood 26.5 scale. Just want to know if a distortion will be ok I there or too much?

Recently fitted a distortion and jazz into my ibanez. they sound great at bedroom level but as soon as i start cracking it its feeding back pretty bad. tone pot has been removed so would that make much difference or is it just because the pick ups are much hotter than the stock infinity ones??
