When I use my strat hm with passives (Duncan jb & yjm's) can run a distortion pedal and it sounds fine, but my kramer with active Seymour Duncan blackouts over dose it, but witout the pedal it lacks the creamy gain, but with it, she looses the quality of the mids and lead...any ideas????

I posted a help me and got a few great responses, but when I got done, the neck pickup worked, the bridge pickup was barely getting power, only one selection worked on the switch and both pickups were on. The volume wouldnt turn all the way off....a fail from hell!!! This is my first wire job...
