    Potted/unpotted...one more time!

Here's one for ya!...If unpotted pups are more prone to feedback (acoustic?) then why are sooo many pups installed without covers? Is it the interaction of the covers and coils that cause the feedback? Thanks all Stew

Any fellow Canucks know of a shop in Canada where I can order some SDs. ...fed up with brokerage fees from UPS. Stew

    Peter Green sound,,again

This has been done to death, i know but.. Ok I'm familiar with flipping the magnet. Also with swapping the hot/cold (+,-) leads to get the out of phase sound. But why do they not sound exactly the same as each other. I did the lead swap with a push/pull switch on my SD59 4 wire, and it's close...

    pole spacing on 59s

I was toying with the idea of putting covers on my 59s and found you either get 1 15/16" or 2" pole spacing (E to E). On the spec sheet it says they are 2" but I measure 1 15/16". Am I screwing up here or what's up??? Stew

    That sweet feed back!

You know the type EC got on some old Cream stuff..... Do you need an "unpotted" pup to get that or just tons of gain. I remember reading somewhere that unpotted pups are not recommended for high gain (100 watters). Do you thinh my pair of '59s are capable of that stuff if I mess with a booster...

    Series/parallel in/out of phase Sheese!!

The wiring phase of my Warmoth LPdc buildup is approaching. Does anyone here actually use all the variations available with 4 push/pull pots giving 20+ combos?? How the ^#@* do you remember which switch is in what position to give you which tone?

    Traditional vs mod'd Gibson wiring.

If I got it right, My LP has the tradional wiring where in the "both P/U postion" either vol. contol acts like a master Volume and you can re-wire it so each vol. control controls only it's own Pup. This mod. makes sense to me. Seems like you can blend the 2 pups. Will I loose something with...

Error in schematic? Or I'm confused!

On this diagram http://www.seymourduncan.com/website/support/schematics/2hum_2vol_2tone_3way-w-ssp.html It states that if the switch is an on-on-on then you have series/split/parallel. But would it not have to be a on/off/on for hat to be true? Or am I missing something? thanx all stew

    Coil splitting in covered pups

When you split a covered pup can you only use the coil that has the exposed pole pieces? Also.. does anyone know if you can get the '59s covered AND with 4 wire config? Thanx stew

    Pup's with covers question

Yet another "which pup for me" thread.

Hi everyone. I know you all must get tired of these type of questions, but I'm totally confused on choices here. I'm building a Warmoth dual cut L.paul. Semi hollow(routed) Mahogany body. Mahog. neck (25 1/2), Rosewood finger board. I play old english type blues ( Mayall, Peter...

    Pup orientation

Hi everyone! This is my first post. Does it make any difference which way 'round a pup is installed in the body! ie. which end is towards the high E and which is towards the low E string?. If so how do you know which way is which? thanx all stew
