Like the tone, not the feel

Those high wood saddles are sweet, but another option is the block stainless saddles. I switched to those a long time ago. You can get them for like $15 bucks.

    NAD that ended in tragedy

I know that stuff isn’t done like it used to be, but can the supplier give you an option to have a local amp repair location give it a look. It used to be the way things were done. Or could you just ship them the chassis? If I were blowing a fuse I would try another rectifier tube (if it has...

Seymour Duncan Hot Chicken vs. Fender Vintage Noiseless

Oh yeah mine is a Strat, but either way I like it. Sorry if it’s not helpful. My fave tele pickup is the Vintage stack which again is not helpful to you at all. Anything else I can do to make comparisons to things you dont want, I’m your guy. :ROFLMAO:

Seymour Duncan Hot Chicken vs. Fender Vintage Noiseless

I have a hot chicken neck pickup and actually replaced a vintage noiseless pickup with it. Can not vouch for the other positions though.

Pickup upgrade for Epiphone Les Paul (hard rock/metal)

I would know as I have not tried them but the specs do not suggest versatility, but I am a cave man so what do I know. And the only chugging I do (well not any more) is a beer. 😁

    Bright, punchy, noiseless Strat options

You may be right but I find if you want sweet vintage tone it’s a must to go with the paisley cloth straps, nothing too wide that has modern tone. The super skinny ones sound a bit too 50’s, but I digress.

    Bright, punchy, noiseless Strat options

I agree the STK -7 is a really good bridge pickup. One of my faves though is a CR neck pickup that I put in the bridge on a whim and it’s great, sounds a bit like the Dimarzio chopper. But my personal fave might be the Fury, love it. My second fave believe it or not is a Lace sensor blue.

Okay, I guess I'm warming up to DiMarzios

The double crème thing is as a dick move but stealing from Kinnman and then suing him on top of it was flat out shitty. Kinnman didn’t get his affairs in order for sure but it a was a still shitty. That being said I have a few Dimarzio and have had many others throughout the years.

Any long term reactions for Lil 78?

I have been pondering the Lil 78 for a while and is there any users digging them and how do they compare to other Strat size buckers and would one in the bridge mesh well with other pickups? . Currently rockin ( Bridge position of various guitars ) a Lil 59, Cool rails, Fury, Stk s 7, Stk s9...

Tort with black pickups and knobs isn’t a bad look.
