My peavey 5150 powers up but the standby switch isnt working. Earlier today i cranked up my amp. After a while, when I would bend it sounded strange and then the sound stopped. The light by the standby switch isnt working either. Anybody have any ideas what exactly is wrong? I checked the...

So I'm in the process of installing a jazz neck. My guitar is routed to screw pickups to the body, so its impossible to lower the pickup. My only option is to shorten the flathead screws that stick out of the baseplate. Is this going to negativley effect the tone?
