For home use, recording, jamming, miced shows, and maybe even non-miced shows, is a tube amp with 100 watts and 2 12s, that also switches to 25 watts, necessary? Or will a 50 watt, with a 12.5 watt option, amp driving one 12" due just fine?
I need a new cab. I have a cheap Hartke 4x10, and it's simply time to step it up. I have a few different heads I use. An old Fender 100 watt for cleans, an early 90's JCM 900, and a B-52 AT-100 (having relatives with equipment to pass down is amazing.) I need a versatile cab, that can cover...
When it comes to body size, how do the two compare to each other? Are they exactly the same except for the neck pocket size, or is the Jaguar a scaled down version of the Jazzmaster?
I'm looking to get a wah pedal. I'm interested in the versatility that comes with a Crybaby 535Q, but I'm wondering if the sound quality compares to the Crybaby Classic with the Fasel Inductor or the Vox Clyde McCoy wah. Which is my best bet here?
Alright, I'm looking for a reliable, flexible delay pedal that won't make my signal cold or sterile. If there's one that you know of that fits this description, and has the capability to repeat what you're playing over and over again, it'd be great to hear about it. If not though,, it's all...
I was wondering how good the 100 watt Fender Twin Amps are. I'm in a position where I can get a brand new one for $600, and I'm trying to figure out how amazing these amps are.
I have a Marshall 1960A cabinet for sale. The wiring is set up so it only runs in mono, but this can be fixed very easily. I'm looking to get $375 for it. You'll also have to pay for shipping. Price is negotiable. PM me if you're interested.
I found a Marshall VS100 head for dirt cheap. We're talking under ten bucks. Of course, there's a catch. The preamp doesn't work. The owner says they took it to a repair shop and they estimated it would be around $90 with labor. The owner also said they had this problem before. The head also...
How are these cabs supposed to be? I found one for $200 and another for $175. The first is supposed to have a wiring problem and it can't be played in stereo, and the second is supposed to have some torn up covering. Are either of these worth buying? Any comments would be greatly appretiated...
I found a Marshall VS100 going for $200, and another for $150. The cheaper one doesn't have a working reverb. I was wondering, how are these heads, and would it be worth the buy? Also, what would be a good tube to replace the stock one with? Thanks.
Alright, I'm a beginner when it comes to synths, and I don't know anything about them. I've been looking around, and so far it seems like my best choices would be either an Alesis Micron, a MicroKorg, or a Realistic MG-1. So I was wondering, which would help me start off on the right foot? I'm...
I'm looking into getting a synth. Not an instrumental synth, but one that make odds bleeping noises and such. I'm hoping to spend around $500, and I was wondering if anyone here can help point me in the right direction. Thanks.
