I want to record with my Tech 21 trademark 10. I have an irig pro i/o which has combo 1/4"/XLR input. Would I use a XLR cable to connect from the Tech 21's DI XLR to the XLR input on the irig? How different would the DI be to using the headphone/line out to the 1/4" input on the irig?
I want to upgrade the saddles on my Ibanez Gio. It has a hardtail strat style bridge. I measured from E to E at the bridge and it looks like it is a 2 and 3/16's of an inch. Was this the correct way to measure? If my measurement is correct and I'm looking for new saddles should I also convert it...
So after a horrible year, brutal winter with no side work and car troubles I had to sell almost all of my gear. I'm left with my acoustic and an cheap Ibanez Gio and amp that came with the starter pack. The guitar isn't very inspiring and the amp is pretty horrible, but at least it gave me...
I am saving up to get a new electric and a decent amp, but do have my girls Ibanez Gio. I tend to play my acoustic since the Gio's jack is loose and it's not too inspiring. I'd like to start teaching myself how to solder. I'm planning on getting a cheap Soldering kit and want to practice before...
Although I was out trying out various Les Pauls and not planning on buying anything, I came across a used 2004 Deluxe American strat that I just couldn't put down. Not sure how much I like the noiseless pickups yet and prefer a humbucker in the bridge, but man it sure is a pleasure to plug in...
Sadly I had to part out my strat a few months ago to pay off some bills. I have my cheap Yamaha acoustic still and have started lessons again, but miss playing electric. I plan on saving up for another and have been thinking about a used Gibson Les Paul Studio. I was set on picking up an Agile...
Although I still long for my BAT LSTR fuzz that I was forced to sell, I'm actually pretty happy with the Big Muff with tone wicker I picked up. I know new Big Muff's seem to get mixed reviews compared to the older models and the various clones that are out there, but I'm liking it. I miss the...
Unfortunately I may have to sell my strat and make do with just my acoustic. I'd like to part it out, but have not learned to solder. I want to remove the TB-5 and two SSL-5's to sell separately. If I just snip the pickup wires will that effect the value of the pickups?
I just got my Tech 21 Blonde character pedal and love it. Using it into my macbook, but would like to be able to run it through an amp. Headphone jamming is great since I'm a night owl and play mostly at night, but would like the option of playing it through an amp when I'm able. The Power...
Tempted to pickup one of these cheaply on craigslist. I know the older peavey bandits are well liked as far as solid state amps go, but I'm looking for something lower wattage wise to play around with and try some pedals through. My living situation limits how loud I can play, but would...
I've been gassing for a Black Arts Toneworks Pharaoh and LSTR for quite some time and came across the Sarcophagus which is both pedals in one. It's not something I need and moneys tight, but after being approved for the "Bill me later" option on ebay/paypal, I rather impulsively jumped on it...
After years of reading and learning from these forums, I finally got around to replacing the pickups in my HSS strat. Custom trembucker in the bridge and SSL-5's in the middle and neck. I'm most impressed with the SSL-5! The custom is great and gives me what I thought the stock humbucker lacked...
I'm taking my strat in to have 250K liberator installed. I have a Custom trembucker sitting in front of me and two SSL-5's on the way so I'm excited to finally, after years of being a fan of this forum, to finally try out my first Seymour Duncan pups. Assuming the tech is not familiar with it...
I bought a 2011 MIM standard strat neck with locking tuners off of ebay to replace the neck on my 2005 MIM strat. I prefer .10s as far as strings go and had a bone nut put on the old neck which was cut for that gauge. I'm assuming replacing the neck should be fairly simple, but I'm wondering if...
I recently bought a new pair of headphones to use with my computer/ipod as well as for playing through my Vox AD15 at night. The headphones, Philips O'Neil Stretch, sound fine for listening to music via my ipod or macbook, but are extremely bassy when used with my Vox. The headphone out on the...
