    Hookup wire and coil wire termination

    Freshman question... must the thin coil wire finish point be soldered to the hookup wire? Is this the correct and only way the hookup wire connection is established? Reason? I soldered a hookup wire to the pickup coil but not at the termination point. I'm afraid that there may be a broken coil...

    I recently took apart an APH-1 Alnico II pro and "without thinking" took apart the four-conductor wiring and ground from the pickup. After a week, I'm looking at the leads coming from each of the single coils and see that they are one black and one white that I need to reconnect to the four...

    Has anyone tried this pickup in the neck position alongside the Duckbucker in the middle position of a strat? Does it retain treble with a 250K pot or do you need a 500K pot?
