I picked up a RI 72 tele deluxe but the pups are harsh. Does anyone have a suggestion for replacements for the stock pups?

Other than the Epiphone branded guitar that Peerless use to build had anyone played the Peerless branded guitars? They have a new ES345 clone that looks nice...but they admit that its got Epiphone pups.
