I've been alternately using the 2B Distortion and the 3B Blues Saraceno. I prefer the sound of alnico but the Saraceno doesn't quite have enough punch. Objective comparison between the Distortion and the Crazy 8? Thanks!

I've got an older (non-solderless) EMG P pickup, that I want to use each half in two Epiphone Mandobirds. The red power wire only goes to one of the pickups though...I'm guessing the preamp is only in that one and not the other? 1) will the pickup still work if I cut the wire to the other half...
