    New pickups day!

So, a friend ganzosrevenge wanted to throw some pickups my way, and we decided on an experiment. I'm a vintage pickup sort of guy, 6-7k on my singles, 8k-10k on my HBs. So we did the logical thing and decided on some Black Winters, blackened edition. I pulled out a Brobucker and a Phat Cat...

NGD -- Grote LPS-001 in purple

Heck yeah. Purple is a good color for a guitar!

    Happy NGD (x2) to me

Bossman in the shop I used to work in had some projects that lingered longer than he wanted to deal with. Neck breaks, both. One glued and fixed, with finish needing done, the other just a bit of a split from fret 2 to the nut. The V had some parts missing, but I had enough parts to finish it...

    Oops I did it again...

Sold a guitar I wasn't gelling with recently, and decided to get a big hunk of semi-hollow goodness. The Gibson stuff is about $4K new, so that was out of the question. Found this little gem in a shop I used to work at actually. This was way cheaper and is in the "Inspired by Gibson" line...

I need to stop going to GC

The used wall keeps getting me. Recently I bought a Squier VM 70s strat, and it's been the best strat I've owned. Every time I play it, it just nails the tones I want from a strat. My only mod being CTS pots. The stock Duncan designed pickups are really nice! Second, just the other day, there's...

    New project!

I was looking to sell this thing a while back, mainly because I was never satisfied with the neck. It was a cheap Amazon retailer. Well, I found this G&L neck on Reverb, and I wanted to be able to move the bridge saddles a bit since they were on top of the mount screws. The G&L Neck is a 22 fret...

    Who made explorer copies?

I'm trying to retrace my guitar history and I had an explorer copy in about 2014 that I'm trying to figure out the manufacturer of. Being a dingus, I didn't take proper pictures back then of the headstock. But here's what I've got. it wasn't a Hamer XT, Epiphone, or a Dean. Who else made them...

    FS: Marshall Origin 20H

Marshall Origin 20: Here's a lovingly recreated Marshall Plexi circuit. 20 watts, with 3 power settings to keep the volume under control. Boost function is really nice. It's been used in the garage, no gigs. The tolex has a ding or two. Otherwise very clean. 3-12ax7 tubes, 2-EL34s. Great pedal...

    Want to change colors.

I have a set of Antiquity buckers in my LP, and it came with nickel covers, but the hardware was gold. I might want to switch covers and screws to match. Where can I get the filister screws in gold? I can get covers from SD directly, but I want the right kind of screws. Anyone have some laying...

    WTB: Single Graph Tech saddle

Looking for another saddle to replace a missing one, and also an extra height adjuster screw if you have it. Thanks!

Play a song badly or not at all?

I've been really getting into lead playing, proper technique, dexterity exercises... all because of my severe lack of accuracy at anything above a crawl on the fretboard. I'm a passable rhythm player, really. So, there's a song my church gig always seems to try to get me to play twice a year...

    Back in the game

I've been off the forum for a while, but I figured I would drop by and and say, I just installed a little 59 in the bridge of my G&L Legacy (strat), and man, there's nothing like a fresh Duncan to inspire some playing. I ended up getting a neck version for the bridge, to ease the output a bit...

Ain't been here in a bit, but happy NGD for me!!!

It's a GFS body, and a builder from Ohio (I think) built the neck, Sperzel locking tuners, SWD Custom Shop tele bridge, stock MIJ neck pickup, brass saddles. I call it Brunswick because it reminds me of a bowling ball. I still need to find what the bridge pickup is exactly!

    Holy new amp day!!!

Have any of you seen this thing, the Vox MV50? It's got some new tube (called NuTube) technology. It's basically based off of those VFD displays like really old calculators, your microwave display, or the digital dashboards from the 80's and 90's. http://www.voxamps.com/MV50AC I got one of...
