I have a Godin SD..Strat like..with 2 single coils and a bridge humbucker..all SD A friend gave me a neck Fender noiseless pickup. After installing it, I'm now getting a crackling, popping noise..doesn't matter if I touch the guitar or not. Even tried a different amp...same issue. I'm waiting...

Box stock Godin SD..humbucker at bridge..single..single coil I'd like to replace one pickup to get more sustain. I play in a little acoustic type band and want to add a little noise in the background to some songs. My neighbor has an ESP with an 81 and 86 pickup..sounds great but just too hot...
