Just picked up a used SG. After playing with the band last night I'm thinking the stock 498T in the bridge is just not gonna do it for me. I usually like a JB in the bridge position of all my guitars but for the SG I'm open to suggestions. Is there a favorite bridge pickup for the SG?

Got a new bridge JB Jr. for my MM Albert Lee guitar. Went to install it and noticed it only measured 15.04K on my meter. This site says it should be 16.09K. While I'm aware that the ohm reading will vary from pickup to pickup (even of the same model) 1K ohms sounds like a lot of variance to me...
