Anyone put a ceramic magnet in a Custom Custom? What does it sound like?

If I swap the Alnico V magnet of an Original Parallel Axis trembucker for a thick ceramic magnet, does it become a Parallel Axis Distortion or are there any other differences? And if not, what can I expect from such a change? Thanks in advance.

A pickup that read 16.33k before soldering now reads 15.45 after soldering. Is this normal? The cables were a bit too short, so I had to splice extra bits of cable in order to use the pickup. Could that be the reason?
