    Schecter UltraCure Dullness

Hi Guys, so i've played a few of these. Unplugged they are great, very resonate and responsive. Pugged in? Not so much. A little muddy, lifeless and just dull. I'm thinking it's the Mahogany body, neck and roserood fretboard and those 59's in it. Without going to extreme do you think...

    Fender VI pickups/wiring

Hi Guys! So, i'm building a Warmoth Fender VI. Since the pick-guard is cut for a strat, i thought i'd use SSL-1's as they are very similar specs to the jaguar pickups. the Custom Shop wiring digram shows 1 meg audio pots for tone and volume..i gather this still should be ok with Strat...

    Schecter Ultra VI

Thoughts? http://www.schecterguitars.com/Products/Guitar/Ultra-VI.aspx# They already have a Hellcat VI which 'spec' wise is closer to a Fender VI though tonally its very different. I'm thinking with the wood change and pickup selection options they are headed in the right direction. I'd...

    $1000 Reliable/Work Horse Amp

Hi Guys. I need a gigging amp. Something that's going to survive Australian Pubs and Clubs. Loud Fender Cleans (so probably a Fender) that likes pedals, and can cover Blues -> Blues Rock - > Rock - Hard Rock. Will mostly be playing Rolling Stones ' stuff through to Pearl Jam...

    Laney Cup 10 Update

So I put in an AT7 in the gain stage...now it gets chunky with the gain on 8/9 and 6/7 on the buckers. Volume at 10 of course :) It's dying for some real speakers/cab - and maybe someting a little nicer then my 09 MIM stock strat! Still does the stones all day with the 72 tele though!

    Laney Head/Cab 2x12 Cub 12

Has just Been announced!! 15w, 2x12 open back cab with tilt and reverb. Sounds like a cheaper/6v6 option of the Lionheart range..(made in india vs made in U.K for the lion heart) Still, i love my cub 10 and the 2x12 would fill the sound stage up quiet nicely.. EXCITED!!!

    10 inch Celestion Gold

Anyone tried one of these yet? I hoping to put one in my Laney Cub 10. 10 inch speaker, 2x6v6 and 2x12ax7 Ruby Tubes. Any other recommendations? I'm going for a more Fendery sound.

Phat cat bridge Stag mag neck

Hey Guys, Would this be too unbalanced and miss matched? Personally I think it would be great for tonal versatility. Just an On/off switch/tone pot for the Phat Cat and use the 3 way switch on my tele for the neck coil's (south, both, north). The tele has a maple neck and a...
