Anyone here have this combo? I have this weird mids thing going on when using the bridge pickup on the clean channel. Trying to determine if it's normal. Happens with multiple guitars. So I figured I'd see if anyone else hears what I hear. Anybody? Thanks.

Finally came in today. Got it installed in about 5 mins but it was already too late to really test it out so that'll be tomorrow. It sounds great so far. I doubt that will change with a volume increase. No installed pics. Sorry! Check out that thick maple cap! NICE!

I'm 100% sure this is real. I just figured I'd post in here as another example of a genuine pickup people can use for comparisons. Seth Lover bridge pickup from AMS. Looks good to me and sounds FANTASTIC. Nothing special about the top. Looks like every other humbucker. ​​​​

I'm pretty certain this one is legit but figured I'd post anyway. I can always attempt to have SD run the serial number and confirm that it's a Seth but the serial is hard to read. I guess I didn't get a pic of the top side.

Do they make a difference from a standard pot? I installed one expecting 10 to sound like the guitar did when I disconnected the tone pot from the circuit completely but it doesn't. In fact, it sounds the same on 10 as it does on 8. I hear no audible difference. I'm 100% sure it's a no load pot...

Those are Porter Pickups' "Blender Pickups". They say, they use 4 types of wire among the set of neck & bridge pickups or something. I found the clear bobbin pickup on their website, also. https://www.porterpickups.com/products/pickups/humbucker-pickups/blender/

Who here knows pickup history? Who was the first to offer custom wound pickups? I'm curious if the name I saw comes up so I won't mention it until later. So, who was first? Seymour? Someone else? Anyone know?

Looks to me like they use some sort of separate bracket. They bolt the P90 to the bracket with the normal 2 mounting screws and then they attach the bracket to the pickguard. Contact Anderson Guitarworks and ask them about the bracket.
