FS: Rose Pickups Single Coil Set

I have new and unused pickups made by Ken Rose who closed up shop a few years ago. I'm not sure what to ask for them since they are no longer available and were very well regarded. I'll just put feelers out there and maybe entertain offers. All are non-staggered. The Robusta are vintage spec...

Help me choose a stratocaster neck(s)

Unless I find a good deal on something on Reverb, I plan to buy two Strat necks from Warmoth. One for a Tele Deluxe (Chris Shiflett model), and a Strat body. What I'm wavering on: 1. Vintage modern construction vs. Modern. I understand the VM is most similar to stock Fender necks. The Modern...

Telecaster deluxe pickguard for regular sized humbuckers?

Does anyone know where I can purchase Tele Deluxe pickguards routed for regular sized humbuckers and not the Fender wide range humbuckers? I know I can order them custom from Warmoth, but I was wondering if anyone else knew of a resource.

Replacing screw coil screws on a humbucker.

If i were to fully remove the screws from the screw coil of a humbucker and replace them (with another color, for example), does this harm the pickup in any way?

Adding pickup covers to humbuckers. Potting and soldering questions.

If I add a pickup cover, does the pup need to be potted (again)? Also, soldering to the base, is this effective at eliminating most vibration and feedback that could occur? What's the best practice?

Where do you guys buy your guitar parts from? Recommendations please.

Stewmac is great, but overpriced on a lot of things. Where do you guys buy things like screws, pickup rings, knobs, pots, switches, etc?

Mad Hatter Terminator Solderless Circuit SVST-3T

Full solderless circuit, I'm selling the guitar I was going to put it in, so I don't have a use for it any longer. Normally $80. This is for a guitar with one volume, one tone, and a 3 way toggle switch. Pots are switchable between 250 and 500k, and also have two different cap values...

    Fender ultra series. sighhhhhh

Ok, so it's nice that Fender has finally entered this century with modern features on their instruments. But the prices are stupid unreasonable. There are other options that offer the same thing for way less, and have been for a few decades now. Pass.

Good guitar kill switch for direct mount?

Meaning, I'll have to drill a hole through the wood of the body. Not pickguard mount. So first, I'm looking for a good kill switch, second, one that is deep enough to be direct mounted. Anyone have suggestions?

    Wired in a Liberator today

I have a cheap Jackson that I rather like, but I use it for a project guitar. I had a Liberator and some free time, so why not? First, I had to enlarge the hole for the volume pot to accommodate it, and then disconnect much of the wiring to reconnect to the Liberator. An hour and half later...

What really is the difference in prices and quality across pickups and pickup brands?

I mean, pickups are plastic, magnets, wire, etc. It's old tech and pretty basic at that. So why is there a massive range in prices across winders and manufacturers, and why do some sound like complete poop while others sound great? It used to always be, if you bought a cheaper import guitar (I'm...
