VOX AC15C1 HT FUSE KEEPS BLOWING OUT

So my good ol vox went dead on me. I switched out all the tubes and ran it without any tubes and it still burns out the fuses I put in. I looked all over the circuit board and not a single burnt resistor or cap. No burnt smell either.  From what I read, it's possibly the power transformer...

My neck position doesn't seem to agree with me.

Currently trying to brighten up with Les Paul Custom's neck position and I don't know what to do. I switched out the 490r that comes stock because of how muffled it sounds. I tried to play with the height, the individual poles, and the tone and volume of course, but I just couldn't get it to...

    2004 Les Paul Custom specs?

I've recently bought a Les paul custom and I'm really looking forward to playing it, but I can't seem to find the specs anywhere.  I want to know the kind of pickups, neck profile and all of that sorta stuff.  Also, I'm assuming It's 2004. The guy had it listed as 2006, but it's serial number...

Gibson Quick Connect: is it worth anything?

Just gutted out my Les Paul Tribute to install some CTS pots, a new jack and new switch. I have all the electronics, including the stock 490r 498t set that came with it. Are the electronics worth anything or should I just snip the tips and sell the pickups as fourway pickups? Thanks in advanced.

You don't need a RWRP pickup (all you need is fish tank cleaner!)

I actually had a thread where I talked about this and I decided to make a quick video of how to do it with a fish tank cleaner. https://youtu.be/_wOeLZfBirs If you have any questions, please let me know!

Pickup recommendations for a Sheraton II?

I recently got a Sheraton II and it's been pretty nice. My major complains are that the neck is pretty bassy and the bridge a bit thin. Besides that, the highs are super chunky and nice for th neck, and the bridge is alright. I have tried adjusting their height and poles. I play mostly...

For Trade or Best Offer: RWRP SSL-5

Like new, I only soldered it, used it for a week and then put it back. Comes with original packaging. I'm not looking for anything in particular, but I'd prefer cleaner sounding single coils.

Fender neck in middle + SSL-1 in neck = no quack?

Tittle says it all. SSL-1 in the neck position, Fender Texas Special neck in middle. I figured since they're wound in opposite ways, id solder them both normally. I did and the sound from 2 & 4 is super thin. No problem, I've dealt with this before. I switched the wires, thinking that I was...

Ever regret a modification after completing it?

I recently switched out my last original Texas Special pickup (middle) because i ****ed up the winding while doing a split tone knob. I switched it for an SSL-5 in the middle. After playing with for a week, I realized It was too muddy and hot for me and I ended up switching it out for the...

    SSL-4 vs SSL-5?

Hello everyone! I'm a long time reader, first time poster! I've been using Duncan's since high school, and am now in college. I was dabbling with my Strat during the weekend and did a split tone knob and accidentally ripped pickup winding on my Texas Special middle. I liked how it have me a...
