I have an old Explorer and the tuners work fine but are kind of sticky, I'm assuming its dust that has gotten into them and I want to clean them. I cant seem to figure out how to disassemble them, any suggestions?

I just scored an original 1976 58 reissue explorer with the original pickups in it. The tail peice, bridge, tuners, frets, and humbucker covers have a good deal of wear and or gunk on them. Do you think I should replace them with new ones or just clean off all the gunk and keap the aged look...

not very impressed. all the guitar sounds sounded the same. the only ones i liked were the tele one and the acoustic ones. those were the only ones that sounded good to be. anybody else have any input?
