So I decided to get a Warmoth custom Jazzmaster body with a HSH setup. But, I need to get good pickups for it before I place my order. It will have a Mahogany body with a Maple neck(rosewood fretboard). I'll go with the Invader for the bridge(MUD!!!! but I want to nail the Metallica KEA tone :p)...

Anyone done this on an active? How? Or did companies start using epoxy in active pickups since the dawn of time? I want to have an a2 mag in a EMG H. Yes, there is a HA, but that has a5 (or does it?), so how do I do it?

Re: Your opinion on switches Gibson Switchcraft switches. I got all my EPI LP switches replaced with em, cuz their durability. I used Fender 3 way teles and they feel cheap. But how durable it is? Here(RIP Randy Rhoads)

List the worst pups you used and explain why. I'll start: Epiphone Alnico Classic pickups, they are very bad. Honky mids, muddy bass and very little treble.
