  • Quarter Pound Polepiece height

When did QPs get protruding poles? I have a recent Jazz set (~6 months), and a new P/J set, and the poles protrude slightly above the covers (the Js are higher in the middle). But I just bought another Jazz neck, and it has flush poles...based upon the cosmetics of the printing on the cover, I'm guessing it's NOS, so at some point the pole height changed.

I also noticed the newer Js have copper tape on the base, for a ground plane I reckon.

I’ve never seen them without flush magnets.

The copper tape is to ground the magnets to reduce noise.

ID:	6025563I also noticed this on mine. I have an older set with the BASSLINES logo that sit below the cover and a newer set with the Seymour Duncan logo that sit flush. I’ve also noticed the cover holes are slightly different. They won’t swap between versions.
