Yeah, that was me . I'm a little home sick too, so is the wife. I guess we left just in time, but that was coincidental. I have a lot of friends back, most of who are going through some tough times, including family. On a lighter note, I love me some sushi!! The **** out here sucks!! 1500 miles away from any ocean, crazy.
Hmm thats cool. The thing is it is just lying around. I cant sell it. Might as well make it sound better. The Ibby Pickups make it sound so much better but sort of dont match it. the guitar Screams Metal and the ibby pups have a PAF tone and output not that I dont like it But that would sound better in something else. I pulled it up the other day and it plays well except the keys don't hold tunning to well once us tart bending. Most of my expense is going be on the pickups and tuners and may be a bridge too. It is a two piece body and the body is splitting at the seam. so that is a big concern first.. I am going to shot a post on ho to go about that later..lots of good guys here . he y u got a Kramer dont u?
I have not yet decided what I want from it. Its just gonna be for fun. I love fiddling around. and now I have a guitar in which I can freely do that without worrying about resale value as it is it has zero resale value. I had got it for used for Rs 2500/- thats like 51 US Dollars back in 97 LOL, just imagine what I will get for it if I try to sell it today. It is a cheap guitar but I guess I was very fortunate to get a very resonant wood. All i could get was this https://forum.seymourduncan.com/showthread.php?t=158742&highlight=givson
Any way I might mostly put a high output pup like a Custom,Full shred or maybe even Invader in it if i am going to leave it single pickup. I am considering EMGs too but not sure abt the bridge the neck would have an EMG HA The reason being it is 24 frets and only single coils sound good to me at the neck in 24 fret guitars, but a single coil is gonna look weird in a flying V. But I still wanna stick with Duncans.
That V was my first electric... Believe me it had two single coils,..u can see still see one single coil in the neck in t hat pic.. The guitar plays well real nice neck..and is super light I can actualy lift it with two fingers...I replaced the bridge with a JB in 2005. Later the JB went to my SA120. now it has the Ibanez Pickups from My Ibanez SA120 ..no more single coils in it.. It is my Frankenstien V.. I need to repaint it . So this is going to be my project guitar soon...as soon as i get some cash. LOL
