  • So cool to hear you're enjoying it. Wait until those Surfers are in. Be sure to let us know what you think.
I've got a few Epi LP's, and like them a lot. Very comfortable, the tones are warm, and sustain is great. Nothing like an LP. I don't think they can sound bad. HB's in them usually need to be on the bright side for clarity, like a '59 pair. I'm liking the idea of Phat Cats & P-90's in LP's lately. Gibson & Epiphone really need to have more LP, SG, and 335 models with P-90's.

Maybe next time you'll wind up with an LP. I got a used one on eBay a couple years ago for $250 with hard case, like new with a flame top. Then I put in a couple DMz's (Fred & Bluesbucker), with the Jimmy Page system, 250K's on the bridge and 500K's on the neck...wow, does it sound good. There are some great deals from time to time. Keep looking & putting in low bids. You never know when one will go super cheap. "Luke, come to the dark side..."
completely agree on the squier tele man, since i set mine up properly it's pretty much been my favorite; that pic looks interesting btw, look forward to hearing about it
ah. well either way, any type of guitar>computer interface would probably be awesome, you could record anything as long as you've got the right software!
you should've gotten one when i did, they were cleared out at $70 for the new version of the ux1 that costs about $150 now!
left side was my dot studio, right was my SG faded. for the light rhythms, i used the neck pickups at 2/3 volume with an a5 490r in the dot, and my a5/a4 phat cat in the SG. heavy rhythms were an a8 490t in the dot, and a8 pearly gates in the SG. for the solo, that's the phat cat for the first 2 parts, and the part with the phaser is the phat cat and PG8 in series and OOP. i modded the phaser, and all the tones were done with my mxr classic(basically a dist. III) into the 800 setting on the toneport.
bridge. whats awesome about my bass is that i got the pickup for $35 and the bass for $50, and in reality i should've spent about $280 for the bass altoghether:laughing:
check out my myspace in a few minutes, it should be there. i just fiddled around trying my best at iron maiden's "phantom of the opera" for a minute but failed epicly since it's 4am and i'm by no means a bass player:laughing: i just plugged straight into the toneport on the modern preamp setting btw
   ... gettoffa mah lawn!

edit: oh it just hit me what you were talkin' about:smack:
i'm sick as hell right now with a cold/fever/stuffy head/the works. besides, you ain't mah daddeh! he should be about 49 by now:laughing:
