  • Mark....went thru the parts drawer, the only thing I have access to that would interest you would be a 59 black coil new-ish bridge (+ cash from me)...I looked for any vintage type output PUPs, and I have black coil neck AL Pro II's x 2, a zebra Gibson 57 Classic neck, an older early 80s zebra MM bridge that looks like a Dimarzio SD, but is PAF levek in output, an amazing and rare 80s PUP, a late 80s/early 90s white (not blonde) coil Dimarzio PAF +....plus the SH-6 and an early 80s Dimarzio SD which may be a trade topic for another day down the road. Also have an uninstalled Invader. Also a bridge PUP off of a first run Ibanez Iceman and a BL XL-500 with very short lead wire, plus a variety of Strat sized HBers. I have more, will let you know what I turn up if you want..I know some old PAFs and a Seth Lover designed 71 Tele Deluxe Fender HB. JR
go to the un intelligence group. there is an epic plan in the works. Your participation would be aprreciated.
Hey, Addy, I wish I could take a trip down under sometime. I know I would really enjoy it! You, me Angus, Malcom, Think of the stories we could tell!!!
    The Doctor is in...
    'sup McEarlock!
i too enjoy the blues-rock thing, but ODd pretty severely on it many years ago and my metalhead then-bandmates gave me heaps (of grief) about it; they'd pull faces whenever i did a double-stop bend... heh
    i guess i'd call myself a blues/jazz/rrrock/metal player... on paper, i'm rather generic ; ]
    more name changes?!
i knew your name wasn't really McEarlock, but was happier pretending it was...
what would the Pink Uniform Heresy say?
Thanks! Which Tele? I like 'em both a lot! Nothing more satisfying than a well-modded Telecaster.
    whoa you've been busy
btw, i've put a big ceramic and 6 hex screws in the tele bridge and a 12fillister demon in the tele neck, i'll let you know how it goes
cool man! now all ya need is an acoustic. and an acoustic bass. and a 12 string electric. and a double neck acoustic. and....:)
funny that about the custom, hey? i loved the CC in my LP but everyone else hates it; i thought the C5 and SH-5 were boring in it though. guess i do use heavy-ish strings... i may just be heavy-handed.
in the tele's bridge i've had a JB, an A2 custom/JB hybrid (dual screw-coil, JB coil bridgeside) and an A2 airzone in the bridge - they all sounded good but the AZ would probably win out because of the versatility, i loooved the hybrid though. complexity of the AZ without the mind-altering fatness
in the neck i've had an A2P, 59n and GFS dream 180 - the A2P was a bit dull in that spot, i think it needs more vibration to do it's thing; the 59 was pretty cool but strangely enough the 180 was awesome in that slot. absolutely sucks in the LP though. like, worse than early asian stock pickups. does PAF tones, gets really dirty - very versatile overall...
i've decided to bite the bullet and try my hand at shielding P90s properly... either that or running them in series bwahhahahaha
yea man, this pickup is seriously a monster. lots of lows, and lots of clarity. i just wish it had smoother cleans for the ska stuff! it's definitely a great pickup though, there's no doubt about it. with an a5 in there, it's a natural for metal though without the presence of as much mids.
