  • cool man! the cheap gibsons really do blow away mid-to-high priced epiphone copies, especially when it comes to the frets/setup. epiphone frets are the worst:p btw you should put your comment page back up, i look like a doosh responding to you in my own profile:lol:
Just got my first Gibson in a long time: 09 SG special faded (cherry)
Blows the piss out of my epi g-400, that is fo sho!
Just realized I left a comment on my page and not yours, hehe. Thanks for the info, dude!
he's had it opn bham CL for $300 and no one has bothered to buy it yet. I wouldn't give but maybe $200, $225 if it's got a case
ha! i actually didn't notice at first, i even noticed how you're going over the tailpiece and was thinking the hardware, covers and grain looked good together
yet didn't notice the pickguard :eyecrazy:
i thought you sounded like you might have been leaning towards putting the gibsons back in
could you send me the link to the artiepage wiring..? EDIT - it's cool i found it
I looked at my pickup again and remeasured. Still 2", but it's not off on the last two, it's just slightly off center on the E/e strings. I'll have to mess with it more tomorrow morning. I'm wondering because I want to replace some pickups in December, and wanted either a Custom or Custom 8, Alt 8 and a Distortion neck from Wymore. Thanks again, man.
Quick question for ya... how do you measure for spacing with a ruler? I ask because I just measured mine, 2" from E to e, however the pickup seems to be slightly off for the last string or two. Isn't regular spacing 2", and if so, why/how could my pickup be off?

I'm trying to find out if I need trem or reg spacing for my bridge pickups, and that confused the heck outta me... Thanks if you can help.
LOL!! Man, I had it so wrong then! (Strats are for BLUES!) I always grab Sunny Jim for the Ska/Reggae now. A Tele with s/c bridge pickup & neck humbucker is the ultimate ska/reggae ton for me.

    Exhibit A
heh, nice one on the mic
i'll keep you posted, hopefully will have something in a couple weeks
somewhere between COC and helmet without sounding anywhere near as good as either
    ; ]
in a good way, reminded me of j mascis and larry lalonde
i ran into the bassist from my first band, it looks like we'll be re-recording our "EP"; should check it out if it comes together
    :naughty:
