Hihi.... I got your PM, just hadn´t gotten around to answering. The je 1200 is a 0 - +6dB sweepable boost. It can´t be "turned off" per se, but is relatively transparent when turned down. It is however quite noisy compared to modern alternatives.

I used it on my SS amp... That's my problem. I have an amp with great distortion, now, and it's so clear and versatile that I have no need for a pedal other than wah. It never geta any use, and I'm probably going to sell it at some point.

I'm not particular to it, myself. The knobs are too sensitive for my tastes and I am unable to get a tone from it that surpasses my amp distortion. It sits in a bucket now. With the right amp, I'm sure one could dial it for a nice sound.
