  • Haha, yeah, I finally found the other half of Crowne Plaza. Unfortunately, the 'official Cort dealer' didn't have my guitar! Since I barely speak Spanish, it was rough but I think I understood that they might be able to order it in a couple months. So I have to find out if that's the case and decide how long I'm willing to wait. I really want the guitar but if it's going to be more than 2 months, it's not worth waiting. I really need to be playing again!

I'm teaching for this company, Bridge, mostly businessmen so I'm all over the city.

Always up for getting a beer! Lemme know.

    Thanks for the advice.
You went into the wrong gallery. :D

You see, the Crowne Plaza Hotel has two galleries. One on the right (looking from the front) that's where Mundo Musical is. That's the bigger one.

The one on the left looks like it has only small convenience stores or something, but actually inside there's stores that sell Gibson, BC Rich, EHX, some Zvex pedals and Cort as well.
    Go deal with them.

Mundo Musical's customer service sucks anyway, trust me on that one.

Bellas Artes is a great neighborhood man! Where are you teaching?
We should go get a beer someday.
    Hey,

Thanks for getting back to me! I actually kind of randomly discovered the Crowne Plaza Hotel's gallery right after sending you the message. I'm from St. Louis, MO in the USA. I'm in Santiago to teach English. I've been here 3 weeks and I just got an apt in Bellas Artes. I'll have to try the Fuente Alemana! I found a place (Mundo Music) that might be able to order the Cort L450C for me, but it might take a long time and I'm a little weary of buying a guitar I haven't played. Any other advice you think of (guitar or other) would be appreciated!

    Thanks again!
    Hey,

I saw your message about "Waiting for the local guitar shops to open..." I just moved to Santiago. Where are these guitar shops? I've been having a hell of a time finding an acoustic steel string, used preferably for a decent price. Any advice/shops you could clue me into would be greatly appreciated.
Ace made a reply hinting that my post may have offended you regarding your date thread. I hope this was not the case. My post was sarcastic. I just want you to know that. I apologize if it was taken any other way.
Yeah man, I don't know what's wrong, I think it's just from pushing myself to play a little faster than I usually do. I realized I'm kind of lazy during soloing, i didn't do any fast runs... it just never occurred to me, but after a few hours trying it out i realized i can pull it off.

on the memory toy: the switch didn't fail us, the pots did. one of them snapped in half. they arent pots like the ones you find in a guitar, the upper part is connected to the rest of the pot by a plastic that it locks into. this came apart, we didn't realize how it happened, but it did.

besides that, the malfunction seems to be electronic: it stopped working and the blend knob worked as a volume knob.
take VERY good care of your memory toy. the bassist in my band has one that has been broken for almost a year, even after 2 repairs.
