Hey -

I noticed your Crate V18 in the Strat remodel thread. Have you done any mods to it?

I swapped out the speaker for a Hellatone, and the sound loosened up immensely.

I also swapped out the reverb pan for a longer Accutronics (the stock Ruby is apparently not the right values for the circuit). Now, the reverb approaches Fenders for flexibility and useability.

Hey,
I was looking through the "Post your Duncan-loaded guitars" thread and I noticed your strat with a CC/AIIP combo. I've been thinking about getting those for my strat. (well kind of a strat - maple neck thru, mahogany sides, Brazilian rosewood fretboard) How would you describe them? Does it sound natural when switching between neck and bridge positions? Do they pair well in the middle position? What would you say their strong and weak points are?
