I finally took your advice, and I put an A2 mag in the 59n in my Spalted Maple Tele.... Its PERFECT in this guitar! 
It had the 59n/PGb set, but they have always sounded overly bright and thin. The 59a2n did the trick for the neck slot. I went ahead and put my CC in the bridge, its much fatter than the PG, but its almost too fat where it sounds a little "congested" in this guitar. And I am realizing that I just don't really like high output pickups anymore. I think I am going to get another 59 for the bridge and just make it a 59a2 set.
I picked up a nickle covered 59 set last week, that is currently in my LP, and I have a set of nickle covered Seth Lovers that will be here this week. Going to have a lot of fun with some pickup swaps! Lol
Also, my JHS pedals will be here this week too!
