    seriously here's what he told me: Just taking a break.
    Started getting annoyed at bullsh!t and figured a break was due.

    not too much musically, Occasionally jam with some dudes who have no interest in forming a serious band, but mostly just working, working out, trying excellent beers I haven't tasted yet, and slowly working on my blues album. Hope to finish writing/recording it later this year. I am totally stuck on what to do for lyrics though - I don't mind singing, and some say I sing really well, but I suck at lyric writing lol.

    Doing that and submitting stuff for tv, video games and movies.
    All this promo stuff is a sh!tload more work than writing the music.
    It's just like putting out a book, writing the damn thing is the easy part.
    In the meantime I'm working on a 5 song follow up ep.
    BTW - what are doing, (other than building cool guitars) since you left your band ?

    That's kind of the trick.
    When I listen to the playback I don't go with what I think the notes should be I try to go with where the notes seem to be going.
    We'll see if anybody picks it up.
    I figure my best shot is college and university radio but I also tried the larger stations in the area.
    I'm not holding my breath but at least they were polite enough.

    I recorded a scratch track and have been going over the whole song note by note.
    I can hear it in my head and I'm slowly bringing it out.
    I listened to my first disc again recently and feel as if I played it too safe on it and wound up with flat songs.

    I'm recording everything and then picking over how long each note rings for and whether or not it needs vibrato, slide or just ring clear.
    It's about 30 takes later and I'm only 12 bars in - yikes !!!!!

    Ever pick apart a piece note by note trying to get that sound you keep hearing inside your head ?

    Thank you, man. It really means a lot. Anyone that knows me personally knows I've been a kickass dad. Either way, I have faith everything will end up ok.

    It's goin'. Just got some custody issues with the ex that is seriously stressing me out and starting to affect me physically, not to mention financially. I just want what's best for my kid but all her mother is interested in is milking me for more month each month. If it were up to me I'd pay her to just leave us alone. But yeah. Things will be fine eventually.
