Interesting combo. Bright neck, fat bridge. Should end up a really even toned guitar!

Put the A2P up a little closer to the strings, maybe boost the bass poles on the jazz…..

Nice approach. That's my goal in all of my PU selections and mag swaps.

"And Blueman, I am pretty sure you've pissed off a lot of people."
"Wait, I know! Blueman and Lew can arm wrestle, and the winner gets to decide if 250K pots sound good or not."

LOL - I learned that about you a longgggg time ago..

        Other goals can include:

A very wide range of tone from neck to bridge with a distinctly different middle spot (Like an A2P neck and a Full Shred Bridge)

A standard range - like 59 set, A2P set, PG set, Distortion set. Same basic tone with mod for position only.

A very even sound - the two pickups that reduce the range of tone the most. Pup change is almost like a tone roll off.

I put Dimarzio Virtual hot PAF bridge and Virtual PAF neck in my dot deluxe along with triple shot rings, tonal bliss. I can get a fat ballsy van halen tone to almost a strat neck pup tone and p90ish growl depending how I swtch the triple shots, they also have this 3d thing like the seths do. I picked up another cheap dot studio and am going to try a set of P-rails and triple shots, P-rails are one of my fav pickups ever, the mismatched coils give a killer HB tone fat and bright, great p90 tone and decent bright single tone.
