  • Jolly's Acoustic Song

This is a song I recorded a couple of years ago. All the guitars are acoustic, except I have one electric backed way down in the mix in a couple of parts. I've played this song for a few "Duncanites" for a few people over Yahoo chats and they all seemed to like it. It's actually one of my favorite songs I've ever written and recorded. It's rather short and to the point. I hope you enjoy!!

hey jolly, i really like that, some really nice songwriting, IMO. and yes, its certainly a departure from your usual style, which is never a bad thing... expanding your musical boundries is alot of fun, at least thats what i have found.

I love the tone! What's that Moog-ish synth in the background?

Thanks mrid....hmmmm, I didn't use any type of synth on this song. Maybe what you're hearing is the only electric guitar in the whole song? During the little lead breaks I have a chorus'd clean guitar that's just repeatedly hitting a G and D on the E and B strings. Other than that, the only other things in there are a tambourine and some bongos.

Thanks again guys, I appreciate it!!
