  • The Coolest Guitars of the SDUGF

This is simple. What is your pick to be the coolest guitar a forum bro has?? Be it for rarity, because it's a cheap guitar beat to hell, the criteria is up to you.

    My choice is easy:

Kherman's Red Gibson Explorer Pro. I think that guitar was actually meant to be mine.

And a more than honorable mention to Lew's ES-335, which is about to turn into the coolest guitar of the universe, as far as I'm concerned.

    What's your choice?
    Epiphone LP Standard PlusTop Pro
    Ibanez SZ320 / A8 DD103 bridge.
Ibanez RG270 / Screamin' Demon bridge.

    Egnater Tweaker 15 Head / Laney Cub 8 / 2x12 - Celestion V30+K100
Line 6 M13 and plenty of stompboxes I rarely use!

Honourable mention: I don't remember who it was, but someone posted a PRS goldtop with a rosewood neck and 3 P90's. That was the first time other than porn when I've desperately wanted to reach through the screen and grab something.

                    WOW, Not simple Diego...
I cant begin to narrow down.. Such amazing gear among the family!

                    First that come to mind:
                    Joelskis White Stageys.

                    Azcats, GMPS

Ascensions Purple Quilt Washburn and Stealth

                    Gene's Hamer standards..

                    I could go on.....and on....and.......
Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

When I first saw it, I thought to myself "that action looks a tad high" but it played like an absolute dream. Everything about it was simply amazing.

Perhaps one day, I too will own a Parker.

Wattage had a tele painted by forum bro butnut. The guitar is metal flake awesomeness with flames galore. Of all the guitar pictures ever posted on SDUGF, this is by no small margin my favorite.

AzCat has (had?) a Les Paul or Les Paul copy that had a flame maple cap with flames dyed over the figured maple. It is (was?) absolutely amazing. A top 3 SDUGF guitar, for sure.

XSSIVE has had many cool guitars over time, but the TwistedCaster aesthetically totally owned them all. That guy has one the the best eyes when it comes to what I refer to as "simple elegance." In the case of the TwistedCaster it was simple kick-assness.

(Apart from my own Flys), I'd have to say the Adrian Smith signatuer Jackson posted recently, or the green production San Dimas someone else posted a while back. I can't remember the owners offhand, though.
