LOL-I still thought the JB had the best sound. it was chuncky on bass and the high single notes were strong and clear. in a mahogany body with lots of midrange? the JB sounds great. I just played an explorer. I do like the gritty raw tone it had with the stock pickup but its not as pronounced as the same guitar with a JB.
