Although Frank has a lower post count than some he has been a member for a while.
I know you all, and will awhile uphold
The unyoked humour of your idleness:
Yet herein will I imitate the sun,
Who doth permit the base contagious clouds
To smother up his beauty from the world,
That, when he please again to be himself,
Being wanted, he may be more wonder'd at,
By breaking through the foul and ugly mists
Of vapours that did seem to strangle him.
If all the year were playing holidays,
    To sport would be as tedious as to work;
But when they seldom come, they wish'd for come,
And nothing pleaseth but rare accidents.

    Thank you.

      1. Probably Frank Lee's brother, as His father died when He was young and His brother stepped up beyond the call and continues to do so.

      2. Suede.

      Thank you.

        New question:

Do you speak/talk in third person in real life? You do it very well...most can't pull it off without sounding like gold chain wearin' guido set extra from Miami Vice (no offensive to those of you out there who may be such)

And while we are at it; Crockett or Tubbs?
        1. Occasionally, but no one would take the Real Life Frank Lee (RLFL) seriously if He did.

        2. Frank Cannon.

        Thank you.

Well, IFLHO we have a pretty good group of the youth here. IFLRC, we had a kid who once posted a thread that contained something like "If I Go to West Point, My Mom Will Buy Me a White Les Paul Custom." Obviously, that is amazing on a variety of levels, not the least of which that the kid failed to mention if it had the long neck tenon. It would appear that we don't have many kids who think their parents were telling the truth when they told them that everything they say is important. Frank Lee loves the children (not in a way that would violate the terms of His probation, however).

Today's youth have an amazing amount of information at their fingertips and there are a whopping amount of people (of all ages) who can give opinions about pickups, etc. they have never used and, scary as it is, people reading these forums might believe them. In the days of the Young Frank Lee (YFL), a trip to the library would yield a bounty of sources; when writing a paper, YFL did not have to worry if the dudes writing about Beowulf had actually read it, because some publisher or journal had taken the time to put it out and had an interest in the quality of what they published. Now, one must use caution because there are plenty of the intellectual equivalents of mail order reverends out there. It is up to the information generation as to whether they will turn the world into the Glass Toilet predicted by Nostradamus.

            Thank you.

Does the Real Life Frank Lee often get the opportunity to quote Shakespeare?

PS--Gillies should have tried Mr. John Wensink, but he chose rather to pick on Lady Byng types like Rick Middleton, leaving Taz with no choice but to sacrifice his giant head over and over to a man much larger than he.

Mostly to Himself in situations where the Bard can best provide Him with a simple (if elegant) reminder of how the world works. A favorite of Frank's:

                        KING LEAR:
What, art mad? A man may see how this world(165)
goes with no eyes. Look with thine ears: see how yond
justice rails upon yond simple thief. Hark, in thine ear:
change places; and, handy-dandy, which is the justice,
which is the thief? Thou hast seen a farmer's dog bark at
                        a beggar?(170)
                        GLOUCESTER:
                        Ay, sir.
                        KING LEAR:
And the creature run from the cur? There thou
mightst behold the great image of authority: a dog's
                        obeyed in office.
Thou rascal beadle, hold thy bloody hand!(175)
                        Why dost thou lash that whore? Strip thine own back;
Thou hotly lust'st to use her in that kind
For which thou whipp'st her. The usurer hangs the
                        cozener.
Through tattered clothes small vices do appear;(180)
Robes and furred gowns hide all. Plate sin with gold,
And the strong lance of justice hurtless breaks:
Arm it in rags, a pigmy's straw does pierce it.

T4D, Frank Lee is not surprised that you came up with a cornucopia of thoughtful questions. He will answer on or about Monday.

Yes "x vs y" plus would be nice.

“I hold the world but as the world, Middleton; A stage where every man must play a part, And mine is a sad one” - Clark Gillies

Fair game though I think Frank Lee would agree if Jethro had to look for people larger or tougher than himself to fight there may not have been very many fights available to him? Also a good many of those who had the oppotunity to taste Gillies bloody knuckles trod upon a certain #22 a little too often therefore encouraging the wrath of #9. My memory is a little vague on all the details but I seem to remember a rather raucous playoff between our teams with violence being a sword both teams wielded willingly. I don't think Jethro needed to fight Ogie Ogilthorpe to prove how tough he was, the Flyers helped him do that pretty early on in his career. btw Mr Gillies introduced an old friend of mine to his wife. He thought they were a good match, I've often wondered if that was because of personalities or weight class.....

My personal fave beatdowns were always Dave Schultz, Tiger Williams and Ed Hospodar. I had no love lost on the Bruins but the Flyers & Leafs were always favorite enemies. Hockey is lost on me these days, my once proud Islanders are but a joke now.

"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" is a line from the 1939 film Gone with the Wind starring Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh.

How does this relate to Frank Lee, and how does he feel about it ?

Also, is the bassist 'Flea' any connection ('Flea' being noticeably close to 'F Lee') ?

And are you related to 'Overtly', or 'Openly', being as 'overt' and 'open' are similar in meaning to 'frank', and of course all of them are 'Lees' ?
