    thats nice! Looks Natch by that fireplace too! Dont think Ive ever seen Koa on a Tak. gorgeous wood!

            i have an almost identical guitar i have had it since 92..it was called an LTD 92 at that stage then i think they became santa fe's.

            it has darkened a bit over time.
            Funny axe cos i never like it until i play some other really nice axes...then i play it and go wow! this thing is awesome!

              I think it is going in for surgery pretty quick. It does have higher action which I think I am going to have dropped just a tad. I am going to have the nut cut and lubed and have the bridge pins replaced with Graph Tech Tusq pins because these pins aren't the greatest out there.

              Overall it sounds really great and has some pretty massive projection. It has a thick midrange which is pretty common with Koas, but I have heard that a good set of Graph Tech pins will mellow that out a bit.
