    I think the CS can do it, but I´m not sure..... I think one of the reasons SD doesn´t make these on a production basis is that Dimarghzio has a patent on "unbalanced coils" iirc. And reason 2 is probably that the demand is smaller than one might think

          Hey, does anybody have any clips of this hybrid? I'd love to hear what kind of tones it can produce. Post 'em if you got 'em!

            SOLD on eBay... within an hour...
            I don't have any clips... not sure if anybody else does?
            Have you used a 59?
            Have you used a Custom Custom or Custom 5?
            It's a cross of those since it's made from 1 coil from each...

              This would be one way around the double cream issue.

              I don't mean to offend, I just have a knack for it.

              Duncans used; Lil '59, Ducky & Hotrail in my Mahogany Hardtail Strat;
              Brobucker and Cool Rail are on hold for future projects.

                    Has anyone out there tried a JB/Jazz hybrid?

                      That JB/Jazz hybrid might sound a little like the neck *****bucker that Jessica has, which is an overwound Jazz neck pickup. That would be cool if it did.

                        Probably too much of a coil mis-match... what kind of tone would you be looking for with that combo?
                        The JB/Custom Hybrid is a great pickup... with Ceramic for crunch or Alnico for warmth

                            Bach...i'm new to the whole hybrid thing and see you mentioned a JB/Custom hybrid...which Custom have you tried of the 3 and what is the outcome paired with a JB when in full HUM mode, not split? i'm looking for a JB with a bit more low end to it but i'd like to keep the bite of the JB...will one of these JB/Custom hybrids do that?

                              Mike... all 3 Customs are the EXACT SAME PICKUP only with different magnets.
                              Yes... the JB/Custom Hybrid would be the sound you are looking for... with an A5 magnet.

                                I think it would be neat to "Hybrid" the stock pickup in my Axis with maybe a DiMarzio Virtual PAF.

                                Anything to open-up the stock pickups and get some breathing room....
