I stop in and take a look every now and then. All of them are for Floyds at the moment. Thanks though.

I see that Ed Roman sells necks for guitars he has made replacements for. Is it worth giving him a call to see if he has one, or should I steer clear?

Most probably will be for Floyds, there aren't many RGs without Floyds. An option might be to replace the nut on a regular RG neck.

I had thought about that but there will be some major cosmetic problems, won't there?

I checked with them on a RG neck once. They wanted $300 for it.

Like what? A little elbow grease and material can fix cosmetic imperfections...

Ha! Thats what I figured. If I wanted in that price range I'd have a custom made. Out of better/different materials.

I may just call Ibanez. I have the part number I just need to get a price. I would much rather order a custom one. Had one all picked out at Warmoth, then found out they don't fit Ibanez guitars.

I think Ibanez will probably charge around the price Ed Roman was charging, if not more.

I doubt anyone's prices could be as high as that evil little leprechaun's are. I'd steer clear of Ed Roman at all costs, he's a scam artist to say the least.

Won't the area where the locking nut was placed be much wider than normal and have the two mounting holes? Placeing a normal nut on a floyd neck would just look odd , Wouldn't it? I have never worked with floyd guitars so I don't know.
