  • The most simple reverb pedal schematic?

I'm going to build a reverb pedal, and i wanna start out with the most simple one first. Or if there is a more versatile one that still has a basic schematic...

    I'm all ears.

    EDIT:

ok here's what i'm doing. i'm building this circuit on a perf board and adding a low pass filter for the reverb effect.

so basically i'm replacing the 100k resistor with a 100k pot and a cap. which cap should i use on that pot? a .22? .1? .047??

Hmm... I'm not sure about simple. But BYOC has the most versatile kit available. I like this pedal in a kit form because of the size of a vero board version wouldn't fit into a practical sized enclosure. And I haven't found a good circuit board to start with. I've been wanting to build one for a while myself. Does that help?
    Hmm...

a little bit yea, but that kit cost 100 bucks, which kind of defeats the purpose of building your own pedal.

        Yea, what VanDerchuck said.
I've never seen a "simple" DIY reverb pedal either.

if you've never built a pedal you might wanna start with a fuzz box kit...

lol, a reverb circuit is the LAST thing you want to build if "simple" is your criteria.

Re: The most simple reverb pedal schematic?

$100.00 is a lot. If you could get the board, and then order all the parts it would still come to roughly $60. With the enclosure, switch, and reverb unit taking up a good portion of it. You'll have to order from a few places cause parts suppliers don't always have everything you need. Now you're paying for shipping two or three times. Then, some things might be back ordered.

So, simple is in the semantics. Ordering from one place and getting great forum help is worth $100.00 for what you get.

by simple, i mean not a 100 microchips everywhere. this one is simple in my book.

now all i have to find is a universal pedal housing. can't find one on ebay.

Try radio shack. I've seen some there from time to time.

Ok, so you're DIYing an established circuit. Cool.
                      Have you seen this?
I found it on the BTDR page.

Specifically, the part in the Designer's notes where he talks about the shelf filter.

The rub-a-dub reverb is meant to be really good.

You can get a pcb from here and it comes with instructions and a BOM

It uses the belton reverb brick

the one i'm building uses the belton module also.
