I know. I have a nut files, leveling blocks, etc. see my other thread where I'm building a jaguar.

+1 to that. For guitars in this price bracket, let the default pickups be the least of the worries

I have 3 ESP's, all with passive pickups.

        2000 USA Custom MIII
It has a Screamin Demon at the bridge, a Custom Custom in the neck and a Vintage Staggered in the middle position.

        1995 The Mirage
It has a JB at the bridge and ESP singles.

Not exactly an ESP but made by them.
Kramer Focus 3000 with a JBJ marked JB at the bridge.

I didn't think they sounded very good so in the guitar now are a pair of Li'l 59's and a Tone Zone S. That's a great pickup combination. I'm very happy with the sound now.

I'm really diggin' your ESP!! Everything, from the color to the materials it would be something I'll be playing every day! I would only change the bridge pickup to a Li'l Screamin' Demon and put a Vintage Stagered single coil in the middle just because its closer to what I use, but the Tone Zone S it's a killer pickup too!

An update for you guys. Got this as a trade-in for my Eclipse (pictured in an earlier post somewhere). Was sad to let it go but I suppose this new fiddle will eventually provide

Kidding of course - this is the best guitar I have ever seen or heard. A CS M-II with Duncan Custom & '59 I just installed in place of a set of EMGs.
