IMO this sounds quite brutal & groovy. I hope you guys like it. Keep the critique coming, good to get some feedback. I'll try to finish this one & maybe release it on my EP (coming very early 2013, I wish).

I think it needs a lot more low mids and lows in the guitars to be really br00tal, but it sounds tight, crisp and heavy. Surface was right in what he said in that last thread...your mixes do breathe very nicely.

good job man! I don't really have any criticisms!

      Thanks, man!

Good point! I noticed that myself too. Gonna change the strings on my LTD (really old strings now, yuck!). Also I'm going to change the JB to a Custom. I don't like JB at all, too much 'woof'/'wool' in the mid range that I can't dial out no matter what. I hope those mods will make the record sound more massive/tighter.

I'm just gonna slap all the **** together now so that I have ready songs to work with afterwards. When I'm satisfied with the songwriting process I start the recording all over again and play everything more accurately. But this is definitely one of the songs I'm going to finish.

Dude that's some awesome **** right there!

In response to your message, though. I haven't sent it back yet. A buddy of mine who owns the same thing is gonna be in town and see straight up if the instrument jack is messed up. If it is, I'm not even sure I'll be able to return it now. I hope the mic inputs work. I need to track down a super cheap one just to test it.

great stuff - I really dig the ending riffs with the open strings (1:25). I think you were on to something there.
