  • Duncan Deton8tor with alnico 8 mod

so i took my regular duncan detonator which has a stock double thick ceramic in it and put in a alnico 8 magnet, had to cut two pieces of thin cardboard to put under the magnet to properly fill the space. works great though.
the alnico 8 magnet really fills out the midrange and gives it a much broader more vibrant harmonic saturated midrage, rolls of the highs in just the right spot and keeps the bass in check. its a keeper in here!

about the closet passive ive ever heard that has similiar midrange to an active imo

hope you duncan guys like it
only thing i didnt get to is the clean, that will probably take a special song to even try it.
