  • Quick test using the Mesa Dual Rec as a recording preamp (NOT METAL!)

So, I have been making a concerted effort to try and use my Trem-o-verb in my studio more. I did a quick recording last night, just working on getting some cool tones using the Slave Out on the Mesa, then ran em through Red Wire impulse responses via Cubase 6/REVenance. Cubase Studio EQ for the big EQ shaping (I just did some low pass filtering, though) and UA Pultec Pro for sweetening the edges. Waves brickwall strapped on the output bus.

Organ and synth pads are Cubase soft synths played via an Oxygen MIDI keyboard. Drums are DFH2.

Bass is my mid-60s Silvertone DI'd through the Little Night Train.

Why don't you take your little Cobra Kais and get outta here?!

Thanks! This is mostly for demo'ing, as I'm getting a little tired of the Little Night's Train's limited tonal palette for doing demos with.
