I'm not a stage bassist but I do record some bass with this preamp:

      Hey there Jay,

How do you like that Fission pedal? How do you use it? Do you run it through a whole song or just during parts? I'm in a
guitar/bass/drums lineup and sometimes I'd like to add some frequency to the sound during geetar solo's....

Also got into acoustic stuff a few years back. I play a 5-string fretless acoustic/electric and a 4-string fretted acoustic/electric. Been goofing around with a UTE bass, picture a ukulele with Asbory bass strings. Got a great acoustic upright kind of sound. Occasionally play a Dean electric upright.

Carvin ProBass 150... could be worse.

Sorely needs extension cab at LOW volumes, speaker takes a lot of juice to get it to liven up a bit.

Right now, I'm going through my l'il 30w Kustomm Kombo err... combo.

In storage, I have an SWR Workingman 2004 on top of an Avatar Cab with an 15" Eminence Legend CB15...

I also have a SansAmp BDDI, Acoustic DI, and a BBE 383 Bass preamp here at the house... and a Peavey ProBass 1000 that needs some work.

I have one of their Belair tube amps as well
              both are great

the Red-Line is the one that gets the most compliments when folks hear it
rich and full sounding, has a tube in the preamp with a knob to blend it with the SS preamp
              everything sounds good through it
              I have recently acquired a BR15N
the new neodymium mag 15 inch extension speaker
I really have to take some time and figure out how to connect it to the
combo to get the Bi-amp thing set up
should shake the windows when i get it set up

maybe CapoFirstFret will chime back on how the cables go
or I could look it up on the website at some point

the Belair is sounds righteous also
Fender-ish Cleans and a Ratty distortion channel
there is a mod that is supposed to make the distortion channel more Marshall-ish
that would be cool but I am really hesitant to hork it up
I changed the tubes to Ruby's and tweaked the bias up a touch
to give it a bit more bite

it was a bit soft spoken and polite before the re-tube/Bias
ya know I looked at the manual online
and it was much easier than I imagined to Bi-Amp this thing

on the the back there are Amp one and Amp two send
then an effects loop for each

on the front is a button that turns Bi-Amp on and off
and a knob for the crossover

              tooo freaking easy

so now I have two effects loops and a dual engine effects processor from years ago

I think I will add a bit of chorus to the high side of the Biamp
and about 50 ms of delay to the bottom to fatten it up

              sweet

                    I love my guitar player/best bud/platonic lover !
He knew I was fed up of moving my 2x15 ampeg cab to the practice basement every now and then….
He picked up a used US-made Fender BXR Spectrum cab for 150$ , saying "pay me back whenever you get extra cash…..I'm good with that !"
I plugged my 60's Ampeg V4B head into it and it blew my mind !!!!!
Best cab I ever owned !

The necks on the newer Jackson basses are wider and flatter than the older jackson basses. My Concert V five strings neck isnt much wider than my CMG 4 strings next.

was about to post a pic, but didn't realize my phone's camera resolution is terrible. i'll post a pic in a bit.

at any rate, i've got an Acoustic B200h that i setup as a pedalboard. i've got a behringer COMPOSER PRO-XL MDX2600 rack unit velcro'd to the top of it.
on top of that, i've got an mxr classic overdrive, and an mxr bass fuzz deluxe into one side of the compressor, then into the front of the amp.
next to those pedals, i've got a BBE sonic stomp and a hartke attack pre-amp pedal, into the other side of the compressor, in the loop of the amp.
in my practice space, i've got a hartke 410xl aluminum cone cab, and for live i use a carvin 115 cab. not sure of what model cab, just that i got it for $179 used

There's my favorite rig in the middle: 1973 Hiwatt DR103 with 2x12 & 1x15 Swanson/Hiwatt cabs. Sounds perty guud
