i actually got this beauty last fall when i was on hiatus. i hadn't had an opportunity to take good pix of her till this week anyway, so here is my newish-to-me spector NS-4CR-FM. we picked her up from craigslist at an even better steal than the blue burst spector euro we'd gotten a year ago with the thought that we'd hock whichever one i didn't like better, since we got both for stupid good deals anyway. upon getting her home and discovering that i liked the electronics better in her (and she was ever so slightly lighter and significantly less neck-heavy, plus she has a different neck profile/less shoulder that fits my hand better), we opted to sell the blue burst. plus what girl doesn't secretly want a pink guitar? (kidding. sort of. that trans magenta is quite stunning...)
she's got the same pups as the blue burst did (EMG P/J) but a different preamp. the blue burst had a spector tone pump (non-trim), which i didn't particularly care for and was considering what i should replace it with at the time ms magenta (i've been calling her "columbia" actually) came up for sale. this one has an EMG BTS, which i like a lot, so i'll probably keep it.
fence shot...she actually almost looks red here, which isn't terribly accurate:
closeups to see the subtle figuring...pardon the fingerprints and cat hair:
