So if you could only have one pedal what would it be? Multi-effects like the H9 and the Korg Pandora are off the table. One box between you and your amp what is it?

Re: If you could only have one pedal
I'd probably go with an analog delay, most likely the Carbon Copy. Depending on the gig, though, I might take an overdrive instead, in which case it would be a double OD, something like the JHS Double Barrel or the Wampler Dual Fusion.Go Packers!

Re: If you could only have one pedal
I think if I chose the right amp, I wouldn't need much of anything except maybe some delay. So I'll go with the Carbon Copy as well. I step on that more than anything these days.Originally posted by Rockstar216Musician thinking - nice strat, looks like a 62, that Marshall JCM 800 sounds great, the lead guitarist could use a bit less treble
Bar patron thinking - Wonder if these guys know "Free bird"?

Re: If you could only have one pedal
A Wampler Dual Fusion with an amp that has great tube driven spring reverb would do me just fine.Best amp tech I've ever had and hands down one of the best electronic/sound wizards in the NC Piedmont.

Re: If you could only have one pedal
Other than a tuner...
Well, I have the overdrive sounds covered with the Mesa amps so, I would probably choose a Crybaby Classic (or a Dunlop Signature Wah, if I found one I liked better) for rock gigs; and then a DOD Hardwire Chorus for jazz and soft rock gigs. I think there are some pedals that do chorus + delay--I'd have to check that out. I use all my pedals about equally...each effect only gets used on about 4-6 songs a night. I like effects; the trick is not to over-use them.
But Stills, Kath, Clapton, Santana, Hendrix...these guys were all terrific Wah users. Nothing in Rock is as FEROCIOUS as a screaming Wah solo.
BillWhen you've had budget guitars for a number of years, you may find that your old instrument is holding you back. A quality guitar can inspire you to write great songs, improve your understanding of the Gdim chord while in the Lydian Mode, cure the heartbreak of cystic acne--and help you find true love in the process.
